I have words to explain how much I love this clip

På begäran III

Today metaphorically looks like this. Last night the rain was pouring down but today it's very warm, bright and sunny. I see this as a good sign. Happy Tuesday to you all.

Rumble in teh Jumble

Happy Monday to you ALL, I hope you've had a wonderful weekend.

Here's the pictorial evidence from Them Elks's trip to an excellent jumble sale. It was pretty full of hipster bargain-hunters but we still managed to find some fab. finds before retreating to a traditional Sunday coffee and cake ritual:

Bob for a mere pound & the scarf for free!

a small charming purse,
perfect for them embroidery needles & scissors
.and lastly: a nice tailored vintage dress!

Thank you kindly for all the sweet well wishes of late!
The lurgy is now gone and I'm sure it's all thanks to you.

Circus Watch

The last couple of days I have been keeping a fairly horisontal profile due to a weird lurgy consisting of fever and a sense of total weakness. I'm feeling better today so I'm going to try blog a little before I need to lie down again...

Ladies and Gentlemen, hold on to your hats!
Here comes Them Elks thrilling tale the Circus has Turned up the Park!

It was dark, rainy & pretty miserable
but that didn't stop the Big Top being raised.

No lions, tigers nor bears but they seem to have a few very pretty horses

and a cute bike, but I just wish them roustabouts
looked a bit more like Elvis

Postal goodness that defied the postal strike

Them Elks goes Linguaphone (without the cassettes)

A few weeks ago, after a little procrastinating (read just under 10 years or so...), I decided to re-join my old church choir. One of the many good things about this is that we practice in the church hall where there is a giant of a bookshelf with all sorts of literature. In this giant one often finds great stuff and I'd thought you might like this gem. Mainly because I have a feeling you too long to expand your knowledges, yes? Well good, here is your chance to learn Swedish, as spoken in 1954, for free!

Our course book bearing the warm welcoming title Swedish for Foreigners. (Yes, ALL of the book is in Swedish but you're probably be smart enough you'll pick it up in no time)
